Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often.

No. T4B mobility scooters are classified as mobility devices in Canada, not motor vehicles. You can ride them anywhere a pedestrian is permitted — no licence, no registration, no insurance required.
Most orders arrive within 5–14 business days across Canada. Remote areas may take a little longer. Calgary metro orders are typically delivered within 3 business days. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
Orders within the Calgary metro area are typically delivered within 3 business days and arrive fully assembled and inspected — ready to ride right out of the box. Orders shipped outside the Calgary metro are palletized for secure transit and generally arrive within 5–14 business days.
Your scooter is shipped in a protective metal-framed package. For safety during shipping, the battery connection is disconnected — you'll need to open the seat to access it. Once you've reconnected the battery, flip the breaker switch and your scooter is ready to start. Calgary metro customers receive their scooter fully assembled and pre-inspected.
All T4B scooters arrive 90–95% pre-assembled. Typical setup takes 15–30 minutes and requires only a wrench and screwdriver. Detailed instructions are included, and our support team is available by phone if you need help.
The 1-year parts warranty covers any defective components — motor, battery, frame, electronics, and more. If a covered part fails, we ship a replacement free of charge. Normal wear-and-tear items like tyres and brake pads are excluded.
T4B scooters are splash-resistant and can handle light rain. We do not recommend riding through deep puddles or in heavy downpours, as prolonged water exposure can damage electrical components. If caught in rain, dry the scooter thoroughly before charging.
Plug the included charger into any standard Canadian wall outlet (120V) and connect to the charging port on your scooter. A full charge takes 6–8 hours. The charger light turns green when complete. Never leave charging unattended overnight for extended periods.
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery on unused scooters in original packaging. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or defective. Contact our support team to initiate a return.
Yes — several programs may help offset the cost. In Alberta, the Aids to Daily Living (ATD) program through Alberta Health Services covers mobility devices for eligible residents with a physician's referral. Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) provides coverage for qualifying veterans. Residents receiving AISH (Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped) may also be eligible for equipment assistance. Private extended health benefits plans sometimes cover mobility aids — check your policy for "durable medical equipment" or "mobility device" coverage. We recommend contacting your provincial health authority or benefits provider for specifics, as eligibility criteria vary.
Yes. T4B scooters are designed to operate both indoors and outdoors. The tight turning radius — especially on the 3-wheel Prime models — makes navigating store aisles, hallways, and elevators straightforward. The scooters are quiet and produce zero emissions, so they are welcome in most indoor public spaces. Always check with the specific venue, as individual facilities set their own policies regarding motorized mobility devices.
The best electric mobility scooter for seniors depends on your specific needs. For everyday community use — shopping trips, neighbourhood rides, and indoor outings — the T4B Prime (3-wheel, $2,595 CAD) offers the ideal balance of manoeuvrability and comfort. For seniors who spend more time outdoors on varied terrain, the T4B Prime Rover (4-wheel, $2,999 CAD) delivers extra stability and confidence. Both models feature comfortable seating, easy controls, 50+ km battery range, 440+ lb weight capacity, and require no licence to operate anywhere in Canada. Ships Canada-wide. 1-year warranty included.
Electric mobility scooters in Canada typically range from $1,500 to $5,000 CAD depending on model and features. T4B Mobility scooters start at $2,595 CAD for the T4B Prime (3-wheel) up to $3,295 CAD for the T4B Prime RoverX (4-wheel with full canopy). All models ship Canada-wide and include a 1-year parts warranty. Government funding programs — including Alberta Aids to Daily Living (ATD) and Veterans Affairs Canada — may help offset costs for eligible residents.
3-wheel scooters (T4B Prime and Prime Deluxe) have a single front wheel giving them a tighter turning radius — ideal for indoor use, tight spaces, and smooth pavement. 4-wheel scooters (T4B Prime Rover and Prime RoverX) have two front wheels, providing greater stability on uneven outdoor terrain, grass, gravel, and inclines. If you primarily need a scooter for indoor use or flat sidewalks, the 3-wheel is often the more manoeuvrable choice. If you plan to spend time outdoors on varied terrain, the 4-wheel models offer more confidence and control.

Our Story

Built for
Canadians.
By Canadians.

Since 2004, T4B Mobility has had one goal: to give Canadians a better, more affordable path to independence. For over 20 years, we've been designing mobility scooters that actually work — in real weather, on real terrain, for real people.

Our Mission

Mobility isn't a luxury — it's a right. At T4B, we believe every Canadian deserves the freedom to move through their community with dignity, comfort, and confidence.

We started T4B in 2004 after seeing how overpriced and inaccessible quality mobility scooters were in Canada. We set out to change that: bringing premium-grade scooters direct to customers, without the dealership markup.

Today, thousands of Canadians from Victoria to St. John's ride T4B. Operating from our two warehouses in Vancouver and Calgary, we deliver to every province and territory — and our Canadian support team is always just a call away.

Why T4B?

T4B stands for Tools for Better Living — a name that says exactly what we're about. Not just scooters, but tools that make life genuinely better for the people who use them every day.

Every model in our lineup is designed with Canadian conditions in mind: cold winters, uneven sidewalks, varied terrain. We test our scooters in real Canadian environments before they ever reach a customer's door.

We're not a big box retailer. We're a small, focused Canadian team operating out of Vancouver and Calgary — and we care deeply about the product we sell and the people we sell it to.

Our Values

The principles that guide every decision we make.

01

Accessibility First

We design for real people with real needs — not for showrooms. Every feature earns its place by making life easier.

02

Honest Pricing

No inflated MSRPs, no hidden fees. We price our scooters fairly so you get the best value for your investment.

03

Canadian Pride

Founded in 2004 and operating from Vancouver and Calgary, we're built here, run here, and designed for here — through and through.

04

Lasting Quality

A mobility scooter is a long-term investment. We build to last, back it with a warranty, and stock parts so your scooter keeps going.

05

Real Support

When something goes wrong — and sometimes it does — we answer the phone and we fix it. No runaround, no wait times, no excuses.

06

Continuous Improvement

We listen to our customers. Every model update comes directly from real-world feedback from real T4B riders across Canada.
